What is 26 Shirts?
How does it work?
For each 26 Shirts design, we take pre-orders for a 14-day period, starting at midnight on Monday. You may only place your order during the order period. Only orders placed through 26Shirts.com will be honored, unless authorized by 26 Shirts management. Once you have finalized your order, we will capture funds based on the payment method you selected. At the end of the order period, no more orders will be honored under any circumstances. We then send only as many shirts as were ordered into production, which typically takes another 7-14 days. Once production is finished, we begin fulfilling orders (preparing them for shipment or to be picked up, if so designated).
How much money from each shirt is donated?
We donate $8.00 from each shirt sold to the corresponding cause for that design (unless the given campaign sells than 72 overall, in which case $4.00 is donated due to the increased production cost of having to print such a relatively small batch). Special Editions and "Comeback" designs typically have a donation of 8%, unless otherwise noted on the given product's listing.
Do contributing artists make any money?
Yes, we pay $1 per shirt sold to the artist who designed it.
How much money have you donated so far?
As of April 26, 2017, we have raised $364,267 for charitable organizations and families in need.
What is your policy on returns/exchanges?
Because of the extremely limited-edition nature of 26 Shirts’ designs, we typically only produce as many shirts as were ordered. Therefore:
But, what if you guys sent me the wrong shirts?
We do our best to ensure that everyone receives the correct quantity of the correct items 100% of the time. However, we are human, and there are only a few of us, so errors do occasionally happen. If you notice an error in your order, please email us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make arrangements to rectify the situation. As previously stated, though, due to 26 Shirts’ designs extremely limited nature, we typically do not keep inventory on hand to simply send you a replacement shirt. In most cases, we will refund your money or credit you toward a future purchase. Again, we will do our very best to ensure that no errors are made in the first place, though.
When will I receive my order?
Because of the “flash sale” nature of 26 Shirts, all orders are shipped and/or available for pickup at the same time. Considering production schedules, we aim to fulfill all orders within 10-14 days of the order period ending. Orders are shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Mail (depending on the weight of the package), so you may refer to their website for shipping times.
I selected ‘Local Pickup’ for my order, where and when can I pick it up?
Unless otherwise notified, all orders designated for Local Pickup can be claimed at our main office in the Tri-Main Building, located at 2495 Main St, suite 516, in Buffalo. (click for map). Pickup hours are 9am-12pm and 1-4pm, Monday through Friday.
I selected ‘Local Pickup’ for my order, but can I have it shipped instead?
Yes. Contact us at email@example.com and let us know that you would like your package shipped. We will invoice you for the shipping charges, which break down as follows:
1-3 items = $4.99
4-9 items = $9.99
10+ items = $14.99
How do your sizes run?
Our Unisex shirt sizes run true to size, but OUR LADIES SIZES DO RUN SMALL and tend to be more form-fitting. If you are having trouble deciding between two sizes, our advice is to pick the larger. Why Buffalo? Why Chicago? Why Pittsburgh?
Well, we're from Buffalo, so of course we’re homers and Chicago is the 3rd largest city in the United States and has five professional sports teams. So why not Buffalo? Why not Chicago? Pittsburgh is a cool city whose sports teams have a rich heritage. So, why not them too?
What are Comebacks?
"Comebacks" are periodic re-issues of previously sold designs, sold alongside (or sometimes as a replacement for) whatever current design we're offering at the time. Unless otherwise noted, these re-issues benefit whomever the current shirt beneficiary is for the corresponding city.
Why do you charge more for Comebacks?
Since these re-issues are sold outside the scope of our typical business model, and for a shorter period of time, we need to take into account the fact that we may not sell enough to justify the typical screen-printing process we use. This increased price takes into account the risk of possibly having to produce the shirts through a more expensive process.
