During the 1974 draft, Buffalo's GM Punch Imlach was reportedly fed up with the slow drafting process via the telephone, a process intended to keep draft picks secret from a rival hockey league. Imlach, who had already drafted several players that would go on to great success with the team earlier in the draft, decided to have some fun at the league's expense. The Need

Ethan is a 4 year old boy who has mitochondrial disease. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support organ function. When they fail, less and less energy is generated within the cell... Cell injury and even cell death follow. If this process is repeated throughout the body, whole organ systems begin to fail. The only treatment available is a large amount of vitamins and supplements to be taken daily, which insurance doesn't cover as they are over the counter. Locally, there are no pediatric mitochondrial disease doctors, so the family needs to travel to Atlanta, GA to see one. Please consider a shirt purchase or donation to his online fundraiser.
