The Need

Christopher was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in November, 2014, at the age of 29. He achieved remission in January, 2015 and had a bone marrow transplant in May, 2015. Unfortunately Christopher has relapsed and he is now going to be participating in a clinical trial starting this month at MD Anderson in Texas. The hope is the clinical trial will put him into remission so he can move towards a second bone marrow transplant. Christopher and his wife, Jamie, have temporarily relocated to Houston, leaving their 6 year old son, Max to finish out his kindergarten year in Illinois. Cost of housing in Texas and living expenses, while still maintaining a household back in Illinois, have caused a true financial burden. Christopher has not been able to work since his diagnosis in 2014 and Jamie is taking a leave of absence from her job as a nurse. Christopher is an avid Blackhawks fan and is looking forward to watching the Hawks in the playoffs and hopefully winning the Stanley Cup. Please consider a shirt purchase or donation to his online fundraiser.
